BIOGRAPHY

Dani Saldo is a disabled Filipino-Canadian artist, composer and songwriter who makes vulnerable & conversational music with moody melancholy & dreamy coming of age productions. Growing up in suburban Guelph, Ontario, and born in Manila, Philippines, Dani has always been deeply influenced by her intersectional identity. As a participant in the ArtHaus Musicians for Social Change program, she became passionate about advocating for her respective communities due to her first-hand experience as a first-generation Asian immigrant, as an ambulatory wheelchair user, and as a person with an acquired disability. In addition to being an active member of the community due to her activism, she participated in the ABS-CBN Star Magic Workshop, TD SOCAN Incubator for Creative Entrepreneurship, the SOCAN Equity X Production Mentorship Program and was an RBCxMusic Artist under the Launchpad RBC Creative Entrepreneurship Program.

With a proven track record, her works have been featured in Anna Kendrick’s movie “Alice Darling” premiering at TIFF 2022, & on MTV’s Teen Mom OG, Teen Mom The Next Chapter & Netflix’s Love Is Blind Season 2 & Season 8. She has created custom music for Money Mart, Kensington Tours, Fenty, Puma & Paramount and for the 2024 Calgary NaAc Sound Residency as the lead composer/producer for “Cosmos Report” a film created by and for disabled people. Her song “Sinner” is featured in the 2024 animated short film “Paint It!”, in addition to composing the official soundtrack to “New Sprout” & “Our Sandcastle” premiering summer 2025. 

Her debut EP "everything I couldn't say" is out now on streaming platforms everywhere, having debuted on a number of spotify editorials such as 新歌快遞, New Music Friday Singapore, New Music Friday Korea, New Music Friday Vietnam, New Music Friday Indonesia, New Music Friday Philippines, Fresh Finds Philippines, poses, 新歌熱播 (New Music Friday Taiwan) and having her lead single “mutual” featured in an episode of CBC’s “Push”. Speaking on grief, mental health, disability, love and more. Continuously collaborating with numerous artists & producers she is continuously making music soon to be released.
